Alice was born in Milan, Italy. From 1998-2001 she studied and majored in the conservation of artistic wooden artefacts at the Istituto Europeo Di Restauro in Piacenza, Italy. 

Alice’s many areas of specialization include:

• Wood Carving

• French gilding - (gold plating) 

• Physics and chemistry of conservation

• Illustration, drawing, and artistic painting

Upon completion of her studies, she interned at an Italian conservation Studio. Her conservation projects at that time included: the King's Palace in Caserta, a carved and painted ceiling in Lucca and, incredibly …  actual items of furniture that survived the eruption of the volcano that destroyed Ercolano and Pompeii.

Alice is a member of The International Society of Guilders and The Israeli Society for the Concervation of Cultural Assets. She is also listed among the Approved Concervation Experts of The Israeli Ministry of Culture.

At the conclusion of her internship, she emigrated to Israel in 2001 and commenced her professional career in the Israeli niche market of conservation and gilding. From 2001-2004, she worked in the Conservation Department of the Museum of Italian Jewry in Jerusalem. In addition to restoring/conserving private collections of antique furniture and many Judaica artefacts, Alice was honored to be granted the privilege of conserving the two oldest Holy Arks in the world – that were originally created in 1543. Both are now displayed in the museum. During this period, she also created a complete replica of a renowned Italian synagogue that is on display in the Judaica Wing of the Israel Museum. A model of this work is also on display in a private luxury home in New York. Other prestigious projects included renewal of the gold plating on the Papal Throne in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, restoration/conservation of  7 of the 52 Italian Holy Arks brought to Israel in a special "rescue operation" undertaken by the Jewish Agency and now housed in various synagogues in Israel, and renewal of the gold plating of the Golden Lamp at the Western Wall site.

Alice’s impressive résumé encompasses over two decades of restoring and conserving ancient relics and many other cultural assets in synagogues, churches, antiquity sites, museums, private residences and more. For the past 14 years, she has been responsible for conserving the mosaic sculptures of the famous artist Niki De Saint Phalle at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo – that reside alongside the live elephants, monkeys and peacocks who seem to be rather excited by the “strange human activity” around them.
